Notre Dame Law School Dean Marcus Cole visited Israel last month with Professor of Law Avishalom Tor. Professor Tor, director of the Research Program on Law and Market Behavior (ND LAMB), arranged the trip as part of ND LAMB’s international activities.

Some highlights of the visit included:

Tel Aviv University: Meetings with Professor Ariel Porata, president of Tel Aviv University; Professor Yishai Blank, dean of Tel Aviv University - The Buchmann Faculty of Law, and law professors to discuss the ongoing relationship with Notre Dame Law School and potential initiatives moving forward.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem: Meetings with Professor Tomor Broude, dean and chair in Public and International Law at Hebrew University, and law professors to discuss the two schools’ current relationship and potential collaboration in the future.

* Visit to Jerusalem University of Notre Dame at Tantur and with executive director Daniel Schwake. They saw firsthand the ongoing activities and initiatives being done at the University of Notre Dame - Jerusalem Global Gateway and discussed how they could fit into the Law School’s Global Lawyering Initiative.

* Tour of the Supreme Court of Israel and meeting with Justice Alex Stein.
