Professor Avishalom Tor selected as Residential Fellow with Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study

Avishalom Tor will be a Residential Fellow for the spring semester with the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study. His fellowship research project is titled, "Towards a Fuller Understanding of Inequality: From Psychology to a Behaviorally-Informed Legal Policy"

Tor’s primary legal expertise is in the areas of antitrust law, corporate governance, and behavioral law and economics. His scholarship draws on behavioral and experimental methods to study competition and cooperation and the legal rules and institutions that shape such behavior. More recently, Tor has been examining the implications of his research for understanding the antecedents and consequences of inequality.

The Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study is dedicated to fostering and supporting integrative scholarship addressing ultimate questions at the intersection of the arts, engineering, the humanities, law, and the formal, natural, and social sciences, especially those that transcend disciplinary boundaries.
