LAMB to co-sponsor Second International Behavioral Public Policy Conference

Author: Denise Wager

The Notre Dame Program on Law and Market Behavior (LAMB) will co-sponsor the Second International Behavioral Public Policy Conference on September 6-8, 2023 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The conference aims to fill a gap by providing a forum for those interested in the link between behavioural science and public policy to discuss their work.

Selected papers will likely fall within the broad scope of the journal, "Behavioural Public Policy" – namely they will consider both behavioral theory and public policy issues from a broad range of disciplinary perspectives. The authors of a selection of the best papers presented at the conference will be invited to have their work considered for a special issue of the journal.

The first conference, "First International Behavioural Public Policy Conference," was held at the London School of Economics and Political Science in London last year.

Professor of Law Avishalom Tor, faculty director for LAMB, will be one of the speakers on the Digital Issues panel on September 6. He will present his research on, "Scrutinizing Digital Nudges." Professor Tor is also a member of the IBPPA International Advisory Board.

In addition, LAMB will host a reception for conference attendees on September 6.
